Mojito Cupcakes

by Nikhil

One of the advantages of marriage is that your close friend count doubles. Joey, originally a friend of the Mrs, sent me this about a month ago. Happy to not only call her my dear friend but also my secret weapon!

Originally, I wanted to make these cupcakes for Thanksgiving but went with a cake instead.

I mostly followed the recipe found below. I cut down on the baker's sugar from 5 (!) to 2 and 1/2 cups. These take a while to make, so bake them on a day when you're not rushed.

One bowl chocolate cake w/ ganache

by Nikhil

The Mrs. and I spent our Thankgiving with family this year. I volunteered to bring a dessert and resorted to an oldie but goodie.

One bowl chocolate cake! This is actually a really simple recipe that I've baked before (can't take risks when trying to impress the Mrs' family).

Seeing other people's Thanksgiving creations has inspired me to cook something special near/before Christmas!

Omelettes

by Nikhil in

A friend, Puja, mentioned a list "75 things a man should do" from esquire magazine at dinner last night w/ the Mrs. #8 was making a perfect omelette. While I don't think mine are perfect, I agree that they are a perfect way to use left over raw ingredients.
